House Of Hope & Peace International Foundation was founded by Yetunde Abidemi Chinakara, whose personal experiences led her to create a nonprofit organization that empowers women and youth in Lagos, Nigeria, and helps the homeless community in Fort Worth, Texas. Yetunde witnessed the challenges that many people faced daily, including the lack of basic needs that we often take for granted, during her frequent visits to Nigeria to see her beloved grandmother.
Determined to give back to her people, Yetunde purchased land in 2007 and began building in 2018. In 2019, she registered the foundation in Nigeria, and in 2022, it was registered in Texas, where it received approval for a 501c3. Today, the foundation employs teachers and volunteers to help run its program in Nigeria and continues to grow, providing more young people with access to education, vocational training, and support.
